| Heroes
of Today The Heroes of Today program focuses on challenging
young people to a deeper commitment with the Lord. Our vision is to give them
Godly guidance and direction, especially in the area of relationships with the
Lord and with each other. Our desire is to help young people establish lasting
moral values while fanning the flame of their desire to follow Jesus. Our
way to challenge is through very practical, hands-on training. Participants are
involved in daily disciplines such as exercise, morning devotions, training in
life skills, outdoor adventures (which often come unexpectedly!) and more. We
also believe in having fun in what we do. Activities* may include such things
as Heroes Semester - A Heroes
semester is a ten-week training ground to disciple participants in Christian character
as well as practical life skills. Participants have daily teachings on various
topics such as studying the Bible, life purpose, marriage and family, finances,
citizenship, car-buying and possible other subjects. Various activities are also
incorporated into the training and include daily exercise, devotion time with
the Lord, learning to work hard with a good attitude, having fun together and
many other opportunities. It's an environment where both truth, love and Godliness
are upheld to grow young men and women into the likeness of Christ. Heroes
Mini-Semester - For those who are unable to attend a full semester program,
we will run a shortened program that will include our regular Heroes activities
and even include our Train to Reign program. Feb 3 -

by challenging them in every area of their lives. These one week programs are

and walk with the Lord as well as learning how to walk with each other. Heroes
programs are full of the unexpected! There are physical challenges ranging from

Extra Mile
- The Extra Mile is a training ground to take you the extra mile. This may mean
a literal extra few miles on a hike, bike or canoe trip or it may mean the extra
mile in excellence on an assigned activity. At the heart of this trip is to find
out what it is to go the "extra mile." This week may include more strenuous physical
activities and participants must be able to hike several miles carrying a full
backpack. Testimony from 2007 Extra Mile

Internship / Staff Assistant
Program - Each summer approximately 12-15 staff and interns assist with our
summer programs. It is both a time of receiving training and discipleship as well
as it is a time of leading and guiding others. It is hard work yet the personal
fruit and the fruit seen in others lives is abundant. Come be a part! May
